For Immediate Release: Michele Lakey, our SCBA Band Director, had students well prepared for the Solo/Ensemble event this past Monday, and the SCBA Band did fantastic! Several dozen students, from 3 schools, participated in this event. Here are a few highlights:
SCBA BAND STUDENTS received all Superior ratings, the only school to achieve that!
SCBA BAND STUDENTS had the #1 highest average score of all Band students from all 3 schools with a 94.6!
Both ISABELLA GRIFFIN (Saxophone) and HAROLD SARAMIENTO (Saxophone) received a 97 Superior, the #1 score for all Saxophones, and the #3 score of all students!
EPHI GHIRMAY (Clarinet) received a Superior and the #2 score for all Clarinets!
SILAS CAMPBELL (Trumpet) received a Superior and the #3 score for all Trumpet!
ANDRES SARAMIENTO (Trumpet) received a Superior!
Congratulations to ALL of the SCBA Band students, and Mrs. Lakey! NEXT BAND EVENT: Thursday, April 23 at the District Band Festival!!!
