Kindergarten is all about the basics: basic instruction, basic socialization, basic self-discipline. What your child learns in kindergarten goes far beyond numbers and letters on a page. He or she is learning how to “go to school”, how to learn and how to get along with others. At South Charlotte Baptist Academy, we teach these principles and values from a Biblical perspective.
The South Charlotte Baptist Academy Kindergarten instruction emphasizes Phonics and Reading, Cursive Writing, Science and Health, simple Arithmetic and beginning Subtraction, American History facts and Bible. We use the A Beka Book curriculum, used by some of the finest Christian schools in the country. Of course there is still time for music, special activities and programs and plenty of activity for energetic kindergarten students!
Your little one will join the rest of elementary school students for a weekly chapel services, providing them with a time of spiritual refreshment through singing hymns and gospel songs and the preaching and teaching of God’s Word, geared to their age.
Start your child’s Christian School experience off right by enrolling him or her in Kindergarten. Since the most basic things are taught early in the year, the enrollment cut-off date for Kindergarten is October 31st.

Admissions Process for Kindergarten:
- Completion of the Application for Student Admission
- Administrator interview with parent(s).
- Evaluation by administration/supervisor with student.
- Registration Fee paid
- Completion and Submission of Financial Payments and/or Agreements:
- Payment Schedule signed by parent and administration
- Book and Resource Fees paid
- First Payment paid as agreed upon on Payment Schedule
- FACTS Contract signed (if not paying in full)
- Completion and Submission of Office Forms:
- Student Application
- Immunization records
- Notarized Emergency Medical Release
- Parental agreement of cooperation
