Elementary School Admissions

Charlotte Christian SchoolThe elementary school classes (grades 1-6) at South Charlotte Baptist Academy are all taught by dedicated, qualified Christian school teachers. Each subject is presented from a strong Christian perspective in a traditional classroom setting. Therefore, sound fundamentals are presented in Bible, Math, Science, History, English and  more, using the A Beka Curriculum. Each year builds on the previous year’s material to develop a solid college preparatory platform for the student.

While our academics are strong, our concern for your child extends beyond workbooks, memorization and homework. Children develop character during these important years, learning moral values and decision making skills that will guide them for the rest of their lives. Teaching at South Charlotte Baptist Academy extends to reach the whole child, impacting his heart and not just his mind.

In addition to the classroom basics, students attend regular chapel services where they are encouraged in their Christian walk through clear Bible teaching and preaching. There are also opportunities to participate in music programs and other special activities, giving your child a well-rounded Christian School experience.

Admission to the Elementary School

  1. Christian School TeacherCompletion of the Application for Student Admission
  2. Administrator interview with student and the parents. Transcripts should be brought to this interview.
  3. Review of latest achievement test scores and school grades, and/or any required entrance tests.
  4. No discipline problems at former school.
  5. No major attendance problems at former school.
  6. Students must have a desire to attend SCBA and be willing to follow all rules and guidelines.
  7. Registration Fee paid
  8. Completion and Submission of Financial Payments and/or Agreements:
    • Payment Schedule signed by parent and administration
    • Book and Resource Fees paid
    • First Payment paid as agreed upon on Payment Schedule
    • FACTS Contract signed (if not paying in full)
  9. Completion and Submission of Office Forms:
    • Student Application
    • Immunization records
    • Notarized Emergency Medical Release
    • Parental agreement of cooperation
    • Authorized pick up list
